Bellvista Estate Streetscape WSUD

Stocklands

Bellvista Estate is a vibrant residential community located on the flat coastal plain of the Sunshine Coast, adjacent to Lamerough Creek which discharges to Pumicestone Passage, a RAMSAR listed marine park. Our team worked with project partners to integrate stormwater management with the urban design and landscape architecture of the development.

The use of conventional stormwater pipe drainage was minimised through careful consideration of the urban layout and bulk earthworks and through the use of small streetscape bioretention systems to treat stormwater at surface before it enters the piped drainage systems.

Bellvista has received a number of industry awards and was one of the first developments in Queensland to employ streetscape bioretention as a fundamental element of the development’s stormwater management system.
