E2Designlab was contracted by Gympie Regional Council to design passive irrigation solutions for their main street revitalisation. The project included eight street tree pits and incorporate design solutions for passively irrigated garden beds. The report included detailed depictions of the functional elements for each design along with construction and establishment site sign-off forms and tailored maintenance guidelines.
The design required collaboration with the wider design team to integrate requirements for street lighting, soft landscape and street furniture. The design incorporated elements to protect existing above and below ground infrastructure and adjacent heritage buildings.
